Varna

Varna is also called as “The Pearl of the Black Sea” and is the third largest city in Bulgaria after Sofia and Plovdiv.

Famous for its beautiful golden beaches, it is currently one of the most popular seaside resorts on the Black Sea.

It is one of the main ports in Bulgaria and one of the most important in the Balkan area.

The city has ancient origins and it was the Greeks who founded it, making it an important commercial port.

Varna can boast a beautiful old town with a large pedestrian area overlooked by manor houses of the past up to the area of modern buildings.

One of the main cultural attractions of Varna is the ruins of the Roman baths.

Dating back to the end of the 2nd century, the Roman baths attest to the greatness of Odessus (Varna) during the Roman Empire.

They are considered among the top 5 largest Roman baths in the world and are the largest in the Balkans.
