The Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid is the most important and prestigious Plaza de Toros in all of Spain.
Inaugurated on June 17, 1931, the arena has a capacity of over 23,000 spectators and a diameter of 60 meters.
Built in mudejar style and decorated with hand-painted tiles, it also houses an important taurine museum.
The bullfighting season in Madrid begins in March and ends in October with shows every Sunday, while during the feast of Sant’Isidoro (May 15) bullfights are held every day.
