The Avanhard Stadium (Стадіон Авангард) was built in 1986 in the city of Pripyat.
The official opening was scheduled for May 1986 but, following the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, it was never inaugurated.
It was built as the stadium of FC Stroitel Pripyat, a local professional team founded in the mid-1970s.
Its capacity should have been of 5,000 people.
Now the trees are growing on the stadium pitch, and the grandstand is gradually being destroyed by time.
